Acceptable use

The distinction this page turns on

Glancerange measures how far type can be read. It does not read what the type says, assess it, rank it, rewrite it or recommend a typeface on the basis of it. Two lines of identical length get an identical specification whatever they happen to say.

That neutrality is about lawful content. It is not a claim that anything at all can be run through this service. There are things a platform cannot carry regardless of what it thinks about them, and the list below is that floor. Refusing unlawful material is not the same act as having a view about a lawful opinion, and we do the first without doing the second.

What you must not do

Unlawful material

• Anything that is illegal where you are or where we operate.
• Material that sexualises children, in any form and without exception.
• Material that incites or facilitates violence or a criminal act.

Hate and harassment

• Text that attacks or dehumanises a person or a group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or serious illness.
• Text intended to threaten, stalk, intimidate or harass an identifiable person.
• Text that reveals somebody’s private information without their permission.

Other people’s rights

• Somebody else’s trademark, used in a way that suggests they made or endorsed the garment.
• Copyrighted text you have no right to reproduce, including lyrics and extended quotation.
• A person’s name or likeness used to suggest an endorsement that does not exist.
• Counterfeit goods, or anything designed to pass as a brand it is not.

Deception

• Text designed to impersonate an official body, an emergency service or a public authority.
• Text designed to defraud somebody or to obtain their credentials.

Attacks on the service

• Scraping, automated bulk use outside your plan, or reselling access.
• Attempting to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to any part of the service.
• Sharing an account with people it was not bought for.

High-risk uses

Do not use output from this service as the basis of a decision about medical care, legal rights, credit, employment, housing, insurance, criminal justice, or safety-critical signage where a life depends on a sign being read. This is a design tool for printed garments. Safety signage is governed by standards that this service does not implement and does not claim to.

What happens if this policy is broken

We may remove content, suspend an account or close it. Where we can, we tell you what the problem is and give you a chance to put it right first. If we close a paid account for a reason that turns out not to be your fault, we refund the unused part of the period.

Reporting something

Write to support@1789apparell.shop. Tell us what you saw and where. We look at every report and we do not need you to have an account to make one.
